As part of the funding programmes made available by the European Union to support cohesion policies and infrastructure development in EU Member States, RFI is the beneficiary of resources from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) which forms part of the National Operational Programme for Infrastructure and Networks (PON) and the Regional Operational Programmes (POR), as well as the new ERDF Regional Programme 21-27 (Regional Programme co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund), plus resources from the Connecting Europe Facilities (CEF) Programme. Furthermore, RFI receives funding from the Development and Cohesion Fund (FSC) for the implementation of a number of strategic projects, as well as funding from the Action and Cohesion Plan (PAC), which complements the programmes co-financed by the European Union’s Structural Funds.
