The Transport Regulatory Authority (ART) has adopted Decision No. 5/2026, with which - regarding the fee reductions pursuant to measure 34 of Annex A to Decision No. 95/2023 - it rejected the request for an exemption from the standard publication deadlines for the Network Statement for the years 2026 and 2027 submitted by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana S.p.A.
In light of the above, the IM will determine the aforementioned reductions, if necessary, in compliance with the standard timeframes established by the current regulatory framework, when preparing the first draft of the 2028 NS, which is scheduled for publication on June 30, 2026.
With reference to the year 2025 only - regarding the so-called "PROMO" tariffs, approved with Decision No. 29/2022 - the provisions of point 3.1 of Decision No. 38/2024 apply, which provided for the transitional adoption of the tariff levels in effect in 2024, increased by the inflation rate.
