Following the annual traffic volume monitoring procedure established in Measure 10.5, point 6 of ART Decision no. 95/2023, the IM is initiating a new phase of consultations with the Railway Undertakings to receive new traffic forecasts for the years 2026, 2027, 2028, and 2029, for the purpose of determining the reference average unit charge.
Forms have been sent to each RU showing the traffic trends recorded in the final figures from 2023 to 2025 and the data from the first budget forecast for 2026. The forms are required to be completed with the total number of trains*km for each year of the period 2027-2029, based on their commercial and industrial development plans, also taking into account the infrastructure developments described in RFI's Commercial Plan.
In the event of volume changes compared to the previous year, please provide evidence of the relevant OD reports, to contextualize them and allow the IM to make its assessments (see the attached table).
Finally, please submit your forecasts, completing the attached Excel file, by June 1, 2026, to the certified email address rfi-ad.ara@pec.rfi.it, duly signed by a legal representative.
