Pursuant to the provisions of Article 15 of Legislative Decree 112/2015, RFI publishes the Business Plan – July 2026 edition – for launching the consultation phase.
The main news and changes compared to the previous version are listed and described in a dedicated section of the document’s introduction.
As before, the Plan is divided into four sections: Local Public Transport, Long Distance, Freight and National Plans. Each section provides information through interactive tools, visual narratives and downloadable documents, in a format that is easy to navigate and consult.
The Business Plan sets out the technological and infrastructural development actions implemented by RFI to foster the growth of both passenger and freight rail transport. These initiatives are aligned with expected market scenarios, customer needs, Rete Ferroviaria Italiana’s Business Plan, and FS Group’s Industrial Plan.
Starting this year, the outcome of the consultation process will be published in this section of the website. Along with the feedbacks received, their assessment (acceptance or rejection) and, for rejected feedback, the reason behind such rejection.
Authorisation to publish the feedback must be provided together with it. If the feedback contains confidential information, submit a version with any non-publishable content removed (revised version).
