The service facilities grid managed by RFI can be consulted, in interactive cartographic and tabular form, within the e-PIR portal, which is updated in December and June by RFI in accordance with the provisions of the Network Information Prospectus and which makes available to all Applicants the information on the Operator’s infrastructure offer.
In December 2024, a list was also updated showing the service facilities that have not been used for more than two years, for which – if no formal expressions of interest are received from the Railway Companies (requested through ASTROIF or with a Notice of Formal Request) during the 2024-2025 Service Timetable, RFI may consider removing such from the scope of services offered as of the 2025-2026 Service Timetable, pursuant to and for the purposes of EU Regulation 2177/2017, Article 15(3).
As a guarantee of our commitment to provide Railway Undertakings with quality services, we have developed our "System of Guarantee of minimum quality levels of the services provided" in accordance with Measure 4.2 of Italian Transport Authority (ART) no. 130/2019 and in accordance with Measure 5.6 of Italian Transport Authority (ART) no. 187/2020.
The service consists of the provision of tracks for non-exclusive use to the RU, and with no obligation for the RFI to store the rolling stock, for a period of time equal to or exceeding 1 hour (60 minutes) for all trains offering a passenger service, or equal to or exceeding 2 hours (120 minutes) for all trains offering a freight service.

The service comprises supply of electricity for the traction of rolling material, both on 25 Kv current networks and on 3 KV current networks.
The Railway Undertaking has the option of adhering to energy reporting through Real Metering by first fitting Trainborne Meters compliant with EN50463:2017, and connected to RFI's DCS.
All undertakings that communicate, at any time during the timetable, that they wish to adhere to the reporting of energy consumption using the Real Meter for all or part of their fleet of rolling stock, after having fitted their rolling stock with the necessary and compliant equipment, may request a pre-operation period during which they can test the correct transmission and reception of the data necessary for the reporting. Greater details are available in the NS (section 5).

The service is associated with train path applications on the electrified railway infrastructure and the tariffs can be found in the NS (section 5).
The service consists of: the preparation of the redirection programming of trains transporting heavy loads and the granting of the authorisation for this transportation; the monitoring of transportation movement and, if so required, the technical escort of the train with RFI staff; if necessary, infrastructure adjustments to allow the special train to run

The service consists of powering the on-board systems using operating pantographs, for a period of time equal to or greater than 1 and a half hours (1h and 30 minutes), with the "parking" mode active.
If a Railway Undertaking adheres to the reporting of traction consumption using the Real Meter, RFI considers the acceptance extended also to any Parking services carried out by the Railway Undertaking.

The service consists of access to the radio network used for voice communication and data transmission in support of railway movement, maintenance, operations, activities in freight yards and terminals and in stations, command and control of train running, control and diagnostic supervision of railway equipment.

The request for the service shall be made at the same time as the request for train paths for the signing of the first Infrastructure Access Contract and shall be prior to operation on the National Railway Infrastructure (NFI). Access to the GSM-R network shall be deemed to be tacitly granted for subsequent Infrastructure Access Contracts.

Audio announcements, visual announcements and alerts to travellers
In addition to the information included in the minimum access package (see the Technical Annex 6 to MD 43T/2000, as amended and supplemented), RFI shall, at the RU’s request, provide:
a) Additional information indicated in the Loudspeaker Announcement Manual (Manuale degli annunci sonori - MAS) and Visual Announcement Manual (MAV)/or not provided for in the Manuals and Standards, subject to evaluation/approval;
b) Notices to passengers.

Information services
At the request of the RU and the Sole Shunting Service Managers/Operators and with reference to the train traffic trend within the area of responsibility, RFI can provide further access to the different modules of the PIC WEB information system and to the Database of the Hazards with respect to the modules included in the Minimum Access Package.

Personalisation of public information
In addition to the information included in the Minimum Access Package, for which the Infrastructure Manager has defined a set of business categories that can be adopted by the RUs to cover the various rail services, the RU may request customisations involving changes to the IT systems in terms of: a) inclusion of new business categories; b) identification logos of the RU and/or commercial brands and/or names.
The service is provided through audio and visual public information systems inside RFI stations.

Notice boards
The service consists in making available notice boards, measuring 115 x 145.7 centimetres and presenting a visual area of 100 x 110 centimetres, to companies providing passenger transport services. The notice boards are installed by RFI personnel in station spaces identified jointly with the staff of the company in question. Each notice board is issued to a single Railway Undertaking, which may independently post its announcements on the same. RFI staff shall periodically monitor the content of the notice boards in order to ensure that they are used solely for institutional communication purposes, as established under Resolution 106/2018.

The service provides the following minimal facilities:

The service consists of welcoming, accompanying and letting passengers onto the train at the departure station, getting them off the train, accompanying them to the exit or to another train at the arrival station, also by providing wheelchairs for transfers. The boarding and getting off the train for wheelchair users and, on request, for people with objective mobility difficulties, will take place with the help of a forklift. The service consists in the monitoring by RFI of the movement of trains carrying dangerous goods, classified as such in the PIC WEB computer system. The service also consists in the coordination and implementation of emergency plans that may become necessary, also at the RUs' request.

When requesting freight paths, to be made using the ASTRO-IF information system currently being planned and the PIC WEB system for Short-Term Requests, the Railway Undertaking shall specify which of them concern the transport of dangerous goods.

The network of facilities, in geo-referenced and tabular version, is available on e-PIR: the Infrastructure Manager's interactive portal that provides all the information on the infrastructure offer for RUs, which can be consulted online using access credentials.
The fees for services included in the Minimum Access Package are determined in accordance with the criteria set out in the Transport Regulation Authority Resolution no. 96/2015, which establishes the principle of cost correlation, being the fees correlated to the respective relevant and efficient costs, as well as the subsequent Resolution no. 43/2022.
